WinPicks Reference Manual Appendix B. Where WinPicks 2.0 Keeps Things
The original program kept everything in a folder on your machine, and this appendix listed the file extensions so you could recognise them. WinPicks 2.0 keeps the same things, in the same shapes, on the server.
The database. One file per sport holding every game: date, teams, score, line, total, the game's round, and for Pro Football Analyst the twenty box score categories. This is shared by every customer and is not editable.
Formulas. One file per formula per sport, carrying the weights, the data method, the analysis window and the record the formula last posted. The extensions are unchanged - .PFF for Pro Football Analyst, .CFF, .PBF, .CBF and .PHF for the others - and a formula file from the original program can still be read. Formulas are stored against your account.
Prices. Two kinds. A consensus file per sport, holding the market's number for each game, and one file per bookmaker per sport holding what that book alone offered. The per-book files are what the "+ all books" panel and the Odds Compare screen read. All five sports carry the full set.
Your settings. Price basis, saved trends, tuner settings and toolbar state are kept per account, which is why they follow you between machines.
What is no longer on your computer. Nothing. There is no install directory, no data folder, no lines folder and no licence file. If your machine fails, you lose nothing but the session.
