Section 3.5. WinPicks Web Browser

All versions of WinPicks contain a built-in web browser that is capable of accessing nearly any web site. To control the web browser, select the BROWSER menu, and select from these items:

  • WinPicks OnLine Manual - This option allows you to view the WinPicks reference manual from the MicroBrothers.com web site.

  • WinPicks OnLine FAQ - This option allows you to view the answers to frequently asked questions (FAQ) about WinPicks from the MicroBrothers.com web site.

  • WinPicks Forum at ScoresLine.com - This option allows you to view the WinPicks technical support forum at ScoresLine.com. To post messages in the forum, you need to register. This takes just a few seconds, and is completely free.

  • ScoresLine.com - This option allows you to access the ScoresLine web site, one of the fastest and easiest to use scoreboard sites anywhere on the Web. In addition to scores, ScoresLine allows you to access game previews, scoring summaries, boxscores, and game recaps.

  • Sign up for FREE text message scores sent to your cell phone - This option allows you to sign-up to have text message scores sent to your cell phone by the ScoresLine web site. This service is absolutely FREE and it takes just seconds to register. This is a great way to keep track of all of the game scores when you are away from your computer, and you'll find that the scoring updates are the fastest you'll find anywhere.

  • Browse Back - This is the "back button" for the web browser. It returns you to the previous screen that was displayed most recently. The screen can be part of the WinPicks application, or a page on a web site.

  • Browse Forward - This is the "forward button" for the web browser. If you have been using "Browse Back" to move back, this will move you forward again, one screen at a time. In can page through screens that are part of the WinPicks application, or through pages on a web site.

  • Refresh Page - This is "refresh button" for the browser, and will reload a web page.

  • Stop Browser - This stops a web page from loading.

  • Enter a Web Address - This allows you to enter the address of any web site, and view the site without leaving WinPicks. Use this feature to visit any of your favorite sites from within WinPicks.
